Hello everyone,

The company I received was NRW Holdings which is in the mining and civil construction industry located in Perth. NRW holdings were established in 1994 but had a significant expansion in the mining and civil service offerings in 1998.

NRW Holdings has been heavily affected by the downturn of operations in the economy resulting in a low revenue. This has resulted in a lack of work and cutting cost by major clients throughout the year.

NRW was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in 2007, however in this economy, shares are at their lowest price within a 6 month period.

However, the company has been pleased to announce that they have signed a new contact with Samsung C & T Corporation for the constructions of the Package one works at Roy Hill. This is a major income for the business, especially in this downturn. They have also announced that NRW has received a notice of award of contract from BHP Billiton Iron Ore.

In regards to the information I have been provided with, I would not buy shares in this company and therefore wish I had received a different company. I don't have much interest in the mining industry although this is a good opportunity to look into the industry, the company is not performing at a satisfactory level to be interested in looking into. I was hoping to investigate shares more for investment and this company hasn't provided me with that.
